Design and Features: Sleek, Sturdy, and Weatherproof
Available in black or silver, the D110 Plus boasts an aluminum-alloy enclosure with an IP54 weatherproof rating, ensuring it can withstand dust and rain. It's a complete lock assembly designed to fit doors 1-3/8 to 2 inches thick with a 2-1/8-inch hole diameter. The package includes all the necessary components: interior and exterior escutcheons, mounting and strike plate hardware, two keys, two IC cards, and a user manual. Powering the lock are four AA batteries, which can last up to six months, though you'll need to provide your own.
The exterior escutcheon measures 6.1 by 2.9 by 1.1 inches (HWD) and features a backlit touch-screen keypad with buttons for numbers 0-9, a lock/unlock button, and a menu button for programming without the mobile app. A small embedded screen displays Wi-Fi signal strength, battery life, and unlock attempt status. Between the status screen and the keypad is a fingerprint scanner, and below the keypad is a traditional keyway.
The D110 Plus can store up to 50 fingerprint profiles and 100 PIN codes, and you can program two IC-card fobs for specific user access. A USB-C port on the bottom edge provides emergency power if battery power fails. The interior escutcheon measures 6.2 by 2.7 by 1.1 inches (HWD) and includes a thumb-turn knob, battery compartment, and reset button.
Software and Settings: Customizable Access and Security
The D110 Plus uses the Desloc mobile app for iOS and Android devices, offering a comprehensive control panel. The app displays lock status, Wi-Fi signal strength, and battery level. Tap the panel to access detailed information, including a slider to lock/unlock the door and additional control options. An Events list records door lock/unlock times.
The app's Assign Access feature lets you create users, assign PIN codes, register fingerprints, and program IC cards. Visitors can be granted Always (24/7) or One-Pass (one-time) access, and you can set specific access schedules. The Settings tab enables Vacation mode, Auto-Lock, and timer settings. It also includes advanced security features like Anti-Peeping Passcodes and Failed Attempt Protection.
The Anti-Hijacking feature is a standout, allowing you to create a passcode or register a specific fingerprint to alert all users and an emergency contact in case of an emergency.
Installation and Performance: Seamless and Reliable
Installing the D110 Plus is straightforward, similar to installing a deadbolt. Remove your old lock, attach the deadbolt assembly and strike, and secure the exterior escutcheon to the mounting plate. Connect the data cables and attach the interior cable to the mounting plate.
Download the Desloc app, create an account, and add the device. Scan the QR code on the battery cover to complete the setup. The lock responds instantly to Alexa voice commands, and my Reolink Elite Floodlight routine worked flawlessly.
Fingerprint scans were fast and accurate, the keypad was responsive and well-lit, and all security features performed as intended. The D110 Plus is a reliable and feature-rich smart lock, offering both convenience and peace of mind.
